The Contemporary Art Gallery Association is pleased to announce the first edition of Dublin Gallery Weekend, to take place on Friday 10th - Sunday 12th November 2023.
Ten of Dublin's leading contemporary art galleries have come together to launch a new flagship event in the cultural calender, Dublin Gallery Weekend.
This three-day annual event celebrates Dublin’s contemporary art sector, showcasing the vibrancy of the capital’s galleries through exhibitions and specially programmed events. The inaugural edition of Dublin Gallery Weekend will take place from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th November, inviting members of the public, art enthusiasts and newcomers alike to meet artists, learn more, and embark on a journey through the city’s art scene.
Following the success of Gallery Weekends in Berlin, London, and Barcelona,
Dublin Gallery Weekend promises to be a fun and engaging weekend of art, with a rich public programme of artist talks, performances, late openings and social events. Free to attend and open to all, these events will expand upon a diverse array of exhibitions from leading Irish and international artists including Callum Innes, Richard Gorman, Richard Proffitt, Laurence Riddell, John Doherty, Eilis
O’Connell and Scott Lyall, as well as themed group exhibitions featuring Irish and international artists. Visitors will also have the chance to participate in guided tours of exhibitions led by curators, artists and gallerists, unveiling the stories behind each artwork.
