To coincide with Deirdre Frost's current solo exhibition Tumbling Earth, the gallery will host an evening of live musical performances on Thursday January 23rd from 6:30-7:30pm, with Mia Cooper and Michael Buckley.
Mia Cooper, leader of the RTE Concert Orchestra, will perform In Habitat, In Transition (12:45) composed by Paul Frost for solo violin. Paul Frost’s work as a composer has been commissioned and performed by RTE Concert Orchestra (The Burning of Cork), Irish Chamber Orchestra (Trip, Elevation), Lyric FM (A New Day Rising), European Brass Collective (Bruckner Fantasy).
Michael Buckley will then perform Tumbling Earth - an improvisational response on saxophone. Michael Buckley is a long regarded influential musician on the Irish jazz and pop scene both as a player, producer and composer.
This is a free event, All welcome.
